It's all about Now. Now is the only moment you
live. Now your heart is beating. Now your hair is growing. Now you can touch
your arms, now you can feel your touch. Now you breathe. Now you see, hear,
smell en sense the world. Only Now!
Never yesterday, never tomorrow. You can't
breathe yesterday, you can't actually step into tomorrow. You'll have to wait
for tomorrow. One second before midnight it is Tuesday (Now!), then (Now!) it is
twelve o'clock, and it's suddenly Wednesday. And it's still Now!. It's always
Now. You can't get out of Now.
Only thoughts can travel to the past and into
the future. But only in the mind, only in imagination and in bad recollections.
Never in the real world. Thinking is Now. You can't get out of Now, out of this
moment.
So actually living in the past or the future
is impossible. Yesterday en tomorrow don't exist. They are mere thoughts. They
are ideas in the mind.
So everything that has happened in the past
are now stories in the mind. Everything that you want to happen or fear to
happen is also in the mind as recollections and expectations. Never in reality.
So, if yesterday and tomorrow don't exist in a
timeline, what does that mean for Now?
When living from a continuous timeline from
past-now-future we thought that everything was real existing. The Second World
War on Discovery was real, my birth after that was real, my schools were
real...
But now I know that I'm only living now, or
that is to say: In the present I'm aware of my Presence. I'm always Conscious,
I'm always present as the one who sees everything that passes in my
experiencing. There is seeing of a World in a constant change. What
happens this moment can't never be lived again. Nor my movements, nor the glass
that broke in pieces, nor the house I'm in. Everything is constantly changing,
but only now.
So, my world has lost its material identity.
The world is not the unchanging environment I'm living in. The world is an
appearance in my Being! That means a 180 degrees turn of my view. The source of
my life is not outside of me, but here, now, in the heart of my existence.
That is the only real (no-)thing, that always is, that is eternal, for always
Now. The world, my environment, my body and my mind are mere appearances, which
we can only experience Now.
Now is what I am and what we are. We have not
to search for that, for we already are That. That is the only thing to
understand. And there is nothing we can do about it. We have no choice other
than being who we are. Presence-Awareness. And all that we experience, the
world, our body's and our mind are being lived.
